Tips
You may upload a digitized image from a digital camera, scanner, or the web. Image must be saved at approximately 300dpi at 100% output size for the very best printing results. It is helpful to know that reducing image size will increase its resolution. (Ex: a 600x900px image has 150dpi at 4x6". However, it can be printed at 300dpi by reducing the dimensions of the product to 2x3".) Make sure your camera is set at a high enough resolution to result in 300dpi at the intended photo print size. You cannot increased resolution of a photo once it's been taken, except by reducing it's printed dimensions (after you upload the image). Try to avoid cropping as this reduces the number of pixels in the final image. If scanning an image, it must be preset to the proper resolution before the image is captured. Many scanners default to 150dpi, so set your scanner to result in 300dpi for maximum clarity. If you are uploading an image found on the web, they are typically at a resolution of 72dpi. This resolution is much too low for quality printing. Also, most images on the web are protected by copyright laws. For this reason, we do NOT recommend using images from the web.
